So a few months ago I was introduced to a shop on Etsy that had the most breathtaking junk journal kits, the shop is called GYPSY CRAFTERY and I bought a few kits. as I started looking at them I thought it would be fun to do a collection of Junk Journals based on the Wiccan Wheel of the year. So this week my project was inspired by the Junk journal kit "Stardust" by GECKO GALZ. Along with some Luna Paste in White and a wonderful dangle for one of the rings I was inspired to build this amazing one of a kind Junk journal. In the Summer I find myself going out and star gazing, it is something that dates back to when I was a child.

So this week we are stepping into the fairy realm with this altered composition book Journal/Notebook. I am a huge fan of fairy art and this piece I go from a shop on Etsy called

So for this week I was inspired to do a mermaid junk journal, and what do you ask inspired this book? Well it was the amazing wooden pieces I found at JoAnn's and the kit by Gecko Galz. You cant think of summer without thinking of Mermaids and the ocean and fishes so that is what inspired this 6"x6" 16 page book. It is full of dreamy images and tuck spots and so much more!

So this week my craft of the week is the Haberdashery Junk journal I created inspired by images from Gecko Galz and their challenge. It is almost Fathers day and I thought I would try to inspire everyone to do their own Junk journal...with all the tuck spaces you can hide gift cards and cash and photos of your day. These books end up being great items to pass down from Generation to Generation.

Well I am at it again creating new junk journals that I will put up for sale in my Etsy shop....so I thought I would share the most recent one with you and was inspired by my mother and Grandmothers Sewing rooms. This one is called Grandmas Sewing Box and the cool technique I did was take marbled tissue paper and crinkle it and glue it on each page so it resembles pattern paper.....was it hard no time consuming YES!
The products I used were from Gecko Galz and the book is from Studio Cee on Etsy.
