STAMPERS SAMPLER....I've been published

Hello all my friends and followers!

I was very happy to see that two of my cards have been published in the winter issue of Stampers Sampler. My samples feature products from Canvas Corp, Viva, and Gecko Galz.

THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

I wanted to take a moment and reflect on the reason for this season, I want to wish all my followers and friends a very merry Christmas and a day of peace and joy that will spread into a year. I feel the reason for this season was that we were given the biggest gift of all and what we can give back is to live in peace with one another. So what I hope is that everyone who reads by blog entry today will take this challenge, for the next year to live your life like Christ did with no judgement of others, forgiveness, kindness, and joy. 

Do not judge those around you rather welcome them as friends. Forgive those who do bad to you and hope that they will find their way to a better life. Be kind to all those you meet even if it is hard to be kind....at the end of the day you will feel better that you were the better person. And live your life with joy live it to the fullest make each day count, hug your loved ones as often as you can, laugh as many times as the day will let you, and live every day as if it was your last.

I hope all of you happiness in the new year and thank you all for coming by and following all my artistic adventures for this year. I look forward to sharing more inspirations next year with you.

GETTING INSPIRED WITH GECKO GALZ

This month Gecko Galz offered an array of wonderful products to play with and here are some of the projects I created using them!

WHITE CHRISTMAS CARD

ICE CRYSTALS TAG

To Create this tag I started with a chipboard tag from Ginas Designs and streaked on white acrylic paint. Then I took a piece or corrugated chip board and cut it a wee bit smaller than my tag and streaked on my white acrylic paint again. I took my picture from Gecko Galz Snow maidens and distressed the edges with my white paint and did the same thing to my scraps of papers from Canvas Corp and 7 Gypsies as well as the tag by 7 gypsies. Next I took a fabric flower from my stash and distressed with my white paint and let it all dry.

Next I added my crochet lace along the bottom edge of my tag then layered on my corrugated chip board using liquid adhesive. Next I layered on my two scraps of paper and then the image of the girl and tag and flower. Then after they are dry I added my silver bells along the bottom edge of the image pushing the shft into the grove and adding a bit of glue to hold in place (they will still jingle).

I took stickles in "Crystal" and added to the edge of the tag to create an icicle effect then around the corrugated board. to finish I added ribbons that matched my image.

DECEMBER COLOR CHALLENGE....putting on the red and Green

This month I am continuing the Red and Greentrend with my color challenge and featuring fun holiday colors to play with! You are welcome to use this months free image to create a special project for this challenge. I hope you all will have fun with this challenge and I cannot wait to see what you come up with. The rules are anything goes but you must use at least 2 of the colors shown below in your design.

Then go to the Fripperies and butterflies facebook page by January 14th and post your design and on January 15th we will announce the winner right here!

So for this month it is all about the red and green and Christmas joy so I thought it would be fun to share with all of you some amazing images that I love. I hope you can use them in your Christmas crafting!

CHRISTMAS JOY TAG

So keeping up with my tag theme this month I combined the wonderful products of Canvas Corp and Gecko Galz to create this vintage shabby chic tag. Using Canvas corp 7 gypsy's tags as well as Glimmer Mist  from Tattered Angels I created a one of kind vintage feel. Then I added a whimsical Christmas image from Gecko Galz "Snow Maidens" collage set and trims by Recollections. For an added vintage look I added Distress nk in Vintage Photo to the tag edges as well as spraing my seam binding ribbon with glimmer mist.

TIS THE SEASON.....tags a plenty

So this month it is all about decking the hall and wrapping packages and Gecko Galz is having their 24 tags of Christmas and guess what I was the first tag featured! I love Christmas and I especially like giving gifts and all that goes into it, so I made this tag to go on one of my packages that I will give this year. HOW TO MAKE TAG

I took my chip board tag and sprayed it on both sides with my two shades of glimmer mist and let dry. then took a piece of my 7 gypsies print paper and cut it to a wee longer than the tag and tore the top edge and inked with my vintage Photo ink. Then I adhered to tag front and folded down the torn edge to create a cuff effect. Next I took my Santa picture and inked the edge with Distress ink in festive Berries and layered on just below the cuff and to the right.I then took my two tags from the 7 gypsies Christmas tag collection and inked their edges with red ink and adhered slightly over the santa image at the bottom of the tag. Next I took my red trim and layered it on using red line tape at the top and bottom and at the top glued on a festive red bow and let it dry. Next I stamped with my Canvas Corp Tis the season sentiment stamp and added red pearl pen on the back ground paper. And to finish I tied both green and red bias ribbon through the tag hole.

FAR AWAY PLACES....... Gecko Galz Customer Challenge

It is hard to believe that it is already December! And Gecko Galz is hosting their final customer challenge of the year. This month the theme is "Far Away Places" now there is only one rule, and that is you need to use at least ONE  product from Gecko Galz!!
