If you are like me you always have that one person you are not quite sure to get them, or you have another person popping by and you need a little gift. My favorite go to gift is a hand made composition book journal. They are a creative way to show you care and you can use scraps to make them. Just find a great image, maybe their favorite artist or theme. I find the books at the dollar store and use paper I have on hand, wrapping paper and fabric work great too!
These are thoughtful gifts and everyone can use a notebook!

Have a wonderful Holiday Season!!!

It is a little less than a month before Christmas and as we rush about trying to get ready for all our loved ones to gather puting an extra touch on gift giving can push your gathering over the edge. I love taking Altoid size tins and creating gift card holders/small gift holders. Inspired by some of the fantastic images from Gecko Galz I created these tins, I love placing gift cards in them to surprize my guest.
I use them as place settings as well and put peoples name on the outside and inside place a little gift.
If you would like to check out all my tins come check out my ETSY shop at;

Happy Holidays to you all!

So as we count down to Christmas I was inspired to do this charming little table top shrine. Using an Altoid size tin I painted it white along with the wooden stand (I found this one at Hobby Lobby) and then using a cute Christmas door ornament I found I attached it to the front of the tin so when you open it there is a hidden surprise.
adding some pretty lace, papers and images from Gecko Galz it becomes a beautiful One of a kind gift. It is a cute way to create an advent calendar for children each day add a small gift to the inside and you could even incorporate an elf on the shelf!

Happy Holidays to you and your family!

One of the fun ways to keep your memories of Christmas alive is creating a junk journal. For my Victorian Christmas Junk Journal I was inspired by the pink velvet I covered it in and the doilies I found in my mothers stash when I was going through it. I also wanted to add something special to it and added small lights by Tim Holtz and using Gold UTEE I stabilized to the cover. There is a pocket on the side where you slip the battery pack. I think these make amazing gifts and can be passed down through the family. You are welcome to come check out all my Junk Journals at my Etsy shop:

So Christmas is a little over a month away and I thought I would be fun to share some fun little designs that would make a great gift to give to your friends and family!
Today I am sharing some unique Christmas ornaments for your tree. I took altoid size tins and created ornaments with hidden secrets! You can open them and reveal amazing pictures and sentiments. It is the perfect place to hide small gifts, gift cards or even use as an advent calendar on your tree!
Here are a few of my designs and you are welcome to see the rest on my Etsy shop at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/fripperiesbutterfly
Hello to all my crafting friends!
So this month Gecko Galz is celebrating Dreams and fantasy's so I created some fun designs to share with you! The first is a composition Book Journal which was inspired by this amazing image from the MYSTIC FANTASY COLLAGE SET and I added my own words and some fun little silver stars.
For the second piece I was inspired by the movie Moulin Rouge and created this beautiful tabletop shrine using Gecko Galz BOHEIMIAN LOVE Collage sheet.
I think doing homemade gifts are so special at the holidays because you are giving a little piece of yourself to the person you give it too. Hope you have a crafty good time this month and thank you for checking out my work!
Have a beautiful day
